    young person’s life.

Anderson High School juniors and seniors experienced a two-day Shattered Dreams event on Wednesday, March 28, and Thursday, March 29, 2007. The mock traffic crash was scheduled the week before the Anderson High School’s March 31st Senior Prom.

Shattered Dreams Coordinator, and Anderson High School parent, Mike McMinn said the crash was purposely scheduled as a pre-prom program. Activities for the second day included memorial services for the victims, and a court trial for the student who crashed when driving while intoxicated.

Assisting with the event were Austin School District Police, the Austin Police Department, Texas Alcoholic Beverage Commission, Austin Fire Department, Austin-Travis County EMS, Star Flight and the Travis County Underage Drinking Prevention Program.
