Admission Requirements
New Students:
- Birth Certificate
- Social Security Card
- Immunization Records
- Withdrawal Document from your last school (if the school year has begun)
- Unofficial transcript or last report card (we will request official records after the student registers)
- Proof of address - copy of an electric, water or gas bill, lease agreement or copy of real estate contract stating prospective move-in date
- Photo ID of parent/guardian enrolling student
- Guardianship Paperwork - for students not living with parents. This process begins at AISD Central Administration Office, 1111 W. Sixth St., Department of Student Services, Lynn Williams (512) 414-2033
Foreign Exchange Students:
Foreign Exchange students and students entering AISD from a foreign country MUST have:
- An official sealed copy of previous school records stating the number of days in each course and the number of minutes/hours in each course is required
- Incoming 9th-12th graders from a foreign country must have an official sealed transcript, grading scale and the TEKS (Texas Essential Knowledge and Skills-available at www.tea.state.tx.us/teks for each course. If TEKS cannot be furnished we must be provided the number of school days per course per year, time in each course and documentation of the content studied in each course.
- All grades will be converted to the AISD Grading Scale.
- Foreign Exchange students entering 12th grade must provide a certified statement from the previous school stating the student has NOT graduated and received a diploma.
Foreign Exchange students coming from a foreign country must be cleared through the principal. Ms. Houser must meet with the Foreign Exchange Program Representative and host parent prior to approval for enrollment. Please bring a copy of the student’s profile.
