Sign-up Instructions
The Austin Independent School District is providing an opportunity for parents of AISD students to sign up for a new program – Parent Connection. This program will allow you to monitor your child’s grades and attendance. For a Spanish version of these instructions Click Here.
To create a ParentConnection account:
- Go to https://gradespeed.austinisd.org/pc
- Click on “Click here to sign up.” (This link is located just below the Log On button.)
- Turn off any Pop-Up blockers, if they prevent you from continuing.
- Create a Username and Password (password requires 8 characters, an uppercase letter, a lowercase letter and at least one number or special character; you must enter it in both password blanks).
- Enter your name and contact information in the Signup Screen (must match student registration records).
- Click on “Add Email” and enter your email address (twice), then click “OK.”
- Read the User Agreement and check the box “I agree to the above terms of usage.”
- Click “Sign Up.”
A verification code will be sent to the email account you entered.
- Open a new Internet browser window to access your email account & retrieve your verification code.
- Return to the ParentConnection logon screen (https://gradespeed.austinisd.org/pc) and enter your Username and password, along with the verification code. You should now see the Parent Connection Welcome Page.
To add each student to your account, click on the “Add a Student” link and enter the registration information, as follows:
- Your student’s first and last name, as shown on school records (do not enter middle name or initial)
- Your student’s address and zip code
- Your student’s campus (Anderson High School 009)
- Your student’s date of birth
- Your student’s AISD Student Number
- Your student’s unique PIN number, which will be mailed on September 11, 2009.
September 11, 2009 is also the date existing accounts will be activated.
Detailed directions for creating a ParentConnection account and viewing student information can be accessed through the “Help” link at the top of the ParentConnection Sign In screen.
If you are unable to complete the registration process online, contact Anderson’s ParentConnection Parent Facilitator, Kathy Kravitz at 414-7959.
Please keep in mind the transition to online grade reporting district-wide is a work in progress. Allow teachers adequate time to enter your student’s grades, particularly for written assignments and long-term projects.
If you have questions about assignments or grades, please talk to your student first, then contact the teacher, if necessary.
