  • Campus Advisory Council

Campus Advisory Councils are committees of parents, students, business and community representatives, teachers, principals, and other campus staff. The formation of CACs is required by state law (Texas Education Code, ยง11.251). Specific functions of CACs include providing review and comment on:

The mission of CACs is to promote excellence in education for all students through broad-based representation. CACs provide valuable input to principals, who ultimately have decision-making responsibility for their campuses.

The final CAC meeting of this school year is at Anderson on May14, 2008 and here is the agenda.

For more information, check out these resources at AISD here and here.

Applications are now available for the Anderson Campus Advisory Council. Texas law requires every public school to have a CAC made up of parents, teachers and community members. The purpose is to advise the principal on school policy.

Download an application from www.austinisd.org/inside/cac and return the completed application to the Anderson Main Office by March 7. Terms last 2 years and the CAC meets the third Wednesday of each month at 4:30pm. If you have questions, call Pam-Sue Brower, CAC Parent Co-Chair.
