    President’s Corner

The school administration and a few parents have asked me to mention to Anderson families that some students have recently had valuables stolen out of the PE locker rooms.  I know the band hall had similar issues, earlier in the semester.  Please remind your children to either leave their valuables at home or if that is not possible, to LOCK up their items in a secure locker.  They may think that leaving a purse, wallet, cell phone, or iPod on a bench or sink counter is safe because other students are around and “will watch their things” for them.  But, unfortunately, that is not always the case.  And remember, if your child is the victim of a theft, he or she needs to file a report with Officers Roddy or Thorpe.  That way, if the items turn up, the officers can identify the owners.  Our SROs and hall monitors work hard. They must patrol the entire school campus, including the parking lots, halls, and common areas.   Ask your children to do their part by taking responsibility for their belongings, securely locking them up, and reporting anything that they feel is suspicious.

No school for students, Monday, Nov. 10!  Enjoy the extra day to recover from a “short” six weeks and gear up for the downhill slide to finals.

P.S.  Congratulations to all of the students who were inducted into the National Honor Society Sunday!  You make your parents very proud with your academic achievements, leadership, and community service.
