austinwoman Magazine is a local monthly publication that focuses on
outstanding women in the Austin area. We are currently seeking two
interns that have an interest in the magazine and publishing industry.
At austinwoman you will learn invaluable communication skills that

Marketing/Events Intern – Summer 2008
Unpaid internship position to assist with marketing for a local
magazine. Seeking intern with excellent communication skills, high
attention to detail and an outgoing personality. Due to our fast paced
office, Intern must be able to handle deadlines, as well as be
reliable and a self starter.
Intern position includes, but not limited to, event planning and
promotions.
Intern hours approx. 10-15 hours/week (including events).

Advertising/Production Intern – Summer 2008
Unpaid internship to assist with advertising and production for
austinwoman Magazine. Excellent communication skills, attention to
detail and the ability to think outside the box is needed. You must be
able to meet deadlines and work with an outgoing and fast-paced staff.
You will assist with all aspects of the production schedule. This
internship will allow you to build a strong and varied portfolio. We
are very cautious of making sure that our interns have “meaningful”
work and expect our interns to take this position seriously.
Intern hours approx. 10-15 hours/week (including events).
Knowledge of Adobe Creative Suites a plus, but not required.
