Project ADVANCE News
The Brown Bag for April 24 (A little bit of everything: sophomore and junior parents) has been rescheduled for Thursday, May 8 at 12pm due to TAKS testing. We will meet in room 130.
Now is the time for students to be preparing to Early College Start classes through ACC this summer or fall. Packets are available in my office with directions and all necessary paperwork. Students must attend an advising session and can sign up in the counseling center across from Ms. Trusty’s office. Students must also complete the necessary forms before attending advising. We had several show up to their advising appointment today without the necessary information. The ACC advisor cannot help a student if they haven’t done their part ahead of time. Please help me pass that information along.
With the nationwide May 1 deadline coming up, it is time for seniors to let me know where they will be attending college next fall. Please have them bring a copy of their acceptance letter to me and I can record it. Anderson also needs to know what scholarships your student has received. Please remind them to come to the registrar’s office to report any and all scholarships they have received. The school records this information and it is also used for the graduation brochure.
