Kohl’s Kids Who Care Scholarship — DUE 3/15/08

Nominees must be legal U.S. residents of the state in which a Kohl’s
store is located. Nominees must be between the ages of 6 and 18
and not yet a high school graduate as of March 15th. Each nominee
must be nominated by someone age 21 years or older.
Nominations should describe how the nominee has contributed
to the community in a meaningful way by performing volunteer
services that helped non-family members. The volunteer activity
must have occurred within the last 12 months.
2008 Holocaust Remembrance Essay Contest — DUE 4/30/08
Open to all high school students who are under the age of 19.
Must be legal resident of the United States or Mexico.
Must submit an essay (no more than 1,200 words) on the Holocaust
which (a) analyzes why it is so vital that the remembrance, history
and lessons of the Holocaust be passed to a new generation; and
(b) suggest what they, as students, can do to combat and
prevent prejudice, discrimination and violence in our world today.
