Dartmouth has announced a new Financial Aid Initiative. One element of this initiative states that students who come from families with an annual income below $75,000 will receive free tuition. This is an amazing opportunity for many students. It also reaffirms my belief that a student should never rule against a school they really want to attend simply because of cost. There are many avenues we can explore before making that kind of decision!
I just received word today that there will be a FREE SAT practice test on Saturday, February 23. Because of the short notice, be sure to register your sophomore or junior today! (512)372-8385.
Please make sure you are taking advantage of the Financial Aid Saturdays. The full schedule is available on my website www.austinisd.org/staff/338. This is a great time to ask questions and get help with your FAFSA. Students and parents are welcome to attend. Volunteers are available from 9am - 2pm and you are welcome to stop by anytime.
