Notice to Students and Parents:
Westover Hills, the church across the street from Anderson High School, has been a good community partner for the Anderson school community. We are allowed to hold AP testing in classrooms on the property as well as planning meetings for teachers and staff. They also host meals for the teachers during TAKS and during classroom setup before school starts. They have been a great community partner with the school.
The church has informed us, however, that our students will no longer be able to park in their parking lot. More and more students are chosing to park in the church parking lot and, I fear, they have not demonstrated good citizenship while parked in the lot. The staff of the church has visited with our students on many occasions asking that behavior improve and trash be contained within the cars. This has not occurred. Therefore, starting on Monday, February 18th, students will no longer be allowed to park across the street in the church parking lot. Students will need to purchase parking permits to park in the Anderson student parking lot. Parking lot fees go to pay for the parking lot security monitor who not only controls access to the lot, but provides security to decrease theft and accidents. Please be aware that the church intends to tow student vehicles that are parked in the church parking lot as of February 18th. Please purchase a parking permit for the Anderson student parking lot before Monday and avoid any towing of vehicles. Thank you for your cooperation.
